Below, you can find the stories that we bring from each of our projects.
To commemorate its 28th anniversary on 27th August 2020, as well as to recognise World Day against the Trafficking in Persons this past 30th of July, Soroptimist International of Jakarta hosted a webinar on the topic: Human Trafficking on Women & Girls in Indonesia: Awareness, Advocacy, and Action.
To provide deeper insights into the issue, the session featured two distinguished Indonesian speakers who have been advocates for the human trafficking issue.
The first speaker was Satyawanti Mashudi, one of the commissioners of Komnas Perempuan (National Commission on Violence Against Women) who provided an overview of the situation in Indonesia.
The second speaker was Sr. Chatarina Supatmiyati RGS, who explained about her work as the Chairperson of Talitha KumIndonesia, a global network of networks, organized in many different ways, each promoting initiatives against trafficking in persons.
